Push Play

Facts

Keeping fit and active is really important because it keeps your heart healthy.

Your heart has to pump your blood all around your body. Your heart keeps doing that for your whole life, 24/7, so it has to keep fit and healthy.  That means you’ve gotta keep fit and healthy.

When you exercise, your brain makes lots of chemicals called endorphins. And endorphins make you feel happy.

Pushing play – keeping active – helps you concentrate more.

Playing a sport’s a great way of keeping active, but there’s lots of ways you can push play at lunchtime at school or at home….see what you can come up with. The main thing is that you try to keep doing your push play exercise everyday.

Remember 30 minutes a day keeps you fit and healthy but you should try to aim for 60 minutes a day if you are between 5-18 years old
